COED - Better Together (McMacken & Hauptmeier)

When: Sunday, Evening

Cecily- I am a single, working mother of 2 teenagers who sometimes struggles with daily life. Despite many trials in my life, Jesus kept me strong and faithful. He always had a plan for my pain, even though it was sometimes hard to see. My faith in Jesus was strengthened several years ago when I was baptized and pledged my life to showing people who Jesus is. In this process of renewal, I learned to love myself and no longer be a slave to fear. My goal is to maintain a healthy spiritual life, focusing on gratitude and positivity. Will you join me?

Christie- I am a mother of two daughters and grandmother of one little grandson. I love spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy being outside - walking, hiking, gardening, quilting, and reading when I'm not working. Through much prayer and support of loved ones, I was finally able to face the reality of the brokenness, rejection, betrayal, and defeat of a very toxic marriage. God has set me free from bondage, healed me, restored me, and shown me His perfect love, faithfulness, provision, and peace. I want to be a part of a group here at Fountain Springs because I want to encourage, give hope, and grow in Christ with my fellow believers.

Meets Sundays at FSCWest with leaders Cecily McMacken and Christie Hauptmeier @ 6:00pm

COED - Better Together (Murphy & Keyser)

When: Sunday, Evening

leader photo

I am Tabatha—a working momma, community advocate, music enthusiast, book nerd and believer. I love coffee with my oxygen, tacos every day, dance parties with my kids, and helping hurting people find hope again. I lost my first son as a baby and spent many years stuck in the traps and lies of grief—but through Jesus' grace and hope and the power of connection through groups have learned to use that pain to help my family and others find joy again. One of the greatest lessons I have learned in my journey is the power of real connection and community. Life has given all of us difficult trials that leave many scars, but I have found that our decision to be vulnerable and real about our struggles with each other is where we can find the greatest healing. As a recovering perfectionist and relentless people-pleaser, it has been in the connection with others and their real and messy stories with Jesus where I have found freedom. My prayer for all groups is that we learn to live with and love each other with the same grace Jesus gave me.

Stacy Keyser- I am a proud mother, daughter, friend, and an outdoorsy adventurist. I genuinely enjoy physical fitness for mental well being and a healthy lifestyle. I do this personal self care through hiking, cycling, running, spending time out with friends and am passionate to show others who Jesus is in ALL that I do! I struggled to endure teenage pregnancy and motherhood, a broken home, broken relationships, and divorce. For many years I was unaware that my broken past had a common theme, me projecting my pain and shame onto others. I found freedom in accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior years ago, but recently have let Gods forgiveness be enough to set me free of shame and projecting pain. I no longer own my pain and struggles. My past does not define me, nor do my mistakes; my faith in Jesus Christ does! Hurting and grieving is not for the faint of heart and should not be done alone. I am here to walk with you, to expose, and give God our burdens. Enduring life's challenges in friendship and community of support.
Meets weekly on Sundays at FSC West with Leader Tabatha Murphy & Stacy Keyser @ 6pm.

COED - Intentional Parenting (Smith)

When: Monday, Evening

leader photo
Every parent has dreams for their children. As parents, we all start out with the best intentions. Although, at some point, we move from DREAMS to DUCT TAPE and hope that each day everything will just stick together. Raising kids in today's culture is a difficult challenge and it requires a plan. Without a plan, parents usually default to Quick-Fix Parenting. Let's face it: it's just easier to focus on immediate problems rather than deal with the deeper and more important ones. Surviving each day is much easier than taking the time and energy to consider how parenting actions impact a child's future. We get it. To be an exceptional parent, you need to be an intentional parent. Meets every Monday at FSC West Room 111 @6:30pm **Childcare available for a fee. ($25/child per 10-week class)

COED - Is This The End? (Brentlinger)

When: Monday, Evening

Never have the headlines been this jarring, the cultural changes this rapid, or the moral decay this pronounced. What on earth is happening? After each new occurrence, the most oft-heard questions are, “Will the world ever be the same again?” and “Where is God in all of this?" Few would dispute that the pace at which things are currently changing is unprecedented. The time has come to accept this new normal, and understand how God’s hand is still at work on His eternal plan for mankind. Meets weekly at the home of leaders Dana and Ann Brentlinger @6pm Starting October 1st

MEN - Better Together (Keith)

When: Sunday, Evening

Hi I am a husband, and a father of two adult children. I enjoy hunting, fishing and training our dogs Brownie Mae a German Shorthair pointer and Patty Rose a Black Lab. I like baseball, football and motorcycle riding. I've struggled with alcohol, drugs and pornography for many years. But through a relationship with my Lord and savior Jesus Christ I was able to take that first step in my recovery and ask for some help! I now have been sober for over 8 years through the grace of God, my sponsor, my wife, my family and all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I divorced my wife in 2010 and remarried her in 2012. She was my first and only love. Through the understanding love of God and some counseling my wife and I have a testimony of how a relationship with Jesus can repair brokenness. Learning through the reconciliation process and loving each other as Christ loves us one day at a time. I asked and received the forgiveness of my sins when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior (by grace I have been saved) I made a profession of faith and was baptized on March 18 2012 with the help of some men and women in Christ, I got to learn how to read and study the bible first through a men's bible study and then having a couple's bible study at our home. Learning to love and serve other as Christ displayed in his ministry has richly improved my relationship with Him and others. To Simply love others as Christ loves me.

WOMEN - Better Together (Keith)

When: Sunday, Evening

I am a wife, a mother and a new believer. I love the outdoors hunting and fishing, but I also love to crochet, sew, paint and repurpose furniture…giving things a new life so to speak… kind of what Jesus does for us when we submit, commit and make him our personal savior. I grew up in an alcoholic home that was filled with abuse and chaos. As much as I hated the drinking I married men who were alcoholics. I didn't have a drinking problem it was something more covert and insidious… I struggled with codependency. I was a people-pleaser. I had walked on eggs, dodged punches, covered things up, stuffed my feeling and changed myself to meet others needs…slowly I lost myself. I thought I could love my husband so much that he would change and stop drinking but he didn't. So I divorced him. I was so desperate for my life to make sense. All these years I had worried about everyone else, what they said, what they did, condemning them for their destructive behavior and believing all the while that I did not deserve to be happy and that I was just damaged goods. I got plugged in to AlaNon, I got a sponsor, I worked the 12 steps. I started attending a Women's bible study and prayed. Through my work in AlaNon I started to pursue a relationship with Christ, I accepted my part in all my broken relationships and stopped blaming others. All of the things that happened good or bad I give all the Glory to God cause he did not give up on me and everything was for a purpose. If I wanted to change my situation it would start with Me. Oh and BTW I remarried my husband of 23 years we are celebrating another 7 years together, he works his program and I work mine. God sure is GOOD!

Meets weekly on Sundays at FSC West with Leader Sabrina Henriksen @ 6pm.
