This is the mission statement of Love INC. This ministry started in 2001 as a strategy to help churches help people in need. Working with more than 40 churches in the Black Hills area, Love INC has helped coordinate thousands of volunteer helping opportunities; connecting people in need with people who can help.
Fountain Springs Community Church believes in the mission of Love INC - to connect people in need with people who can help. God has blessed our church with the opportunity to be involved locally with this ministry through their Life INC program.
What is Life INC? ::Life in Control, Life in Christ – a strategy to take us beyond meeting the symptoms of peoples' needs and into addressing the underlying causes. The Life INC program is a series of classes held on Thursday nights by volunteers from dozens of different churches. The program has five main components: budget mentoring, classroom, weekly goals, rewards and children’s programs. The program is designed to help with financial counseling, giving a hand up, and making a life change as opposed to simply providing a hand out.
Our role::
As a church, we've committed the first Sunday of every month to bring pasta for the Pasta Push. This pasta is given to the Life INC program and is then handed out to program participants. We serve meals for the Life INC class participants once a month. We strive to pray for and support Love INC financially and in any way that we can. In addition to that we donate clothes for dozens of kids each year through their Clothe-a-Kid program. We're always looking for ways that we can be a greater part of supporting this ministry!
