Core Intentions (Values) |

- We intend to be a church built on the Bible! We desire to be saturated with the Truth of God's Word. We intend to accomplish this by continually looking to the Bible for answers, direction, and Truth. We will recruit and develop a highly effective and powerful teaching team that will speak at the weekend worship services, we will train all teachers to be effective, and base our decisions and values on God's Word. We will lead the church by following Biblical guidelines and constantly emphasizing the importance of God's Word and Biblical doctrine, theology, and thinking.
- We intend to be a church of prayer! We desire to develop a deep and consistent relationship with God through being prayerful Christians. We intend to accomplish this through regular teaching on prayer, incorporating prayer into all gatherings, an active prayer ministry, hosting prayer meetings, and by training our leaders to be people of prayer.
- We intend to be a church of relevance! We desire to continually change our methods of ministry in order to be effective, practical, useful, and beneficial to people's daily lives and circumstances. We intend to accomplish this through beginning our plans with the needs of the people in mind, designing ministries to meet specific community needs, and creating an attractive gathering atmosphere. We will have real life, authentic, and Biblical teaching every week.
- We intend to be a church of excellence! We desire to bring glory to God by being committed to a high level of quality in everything we do. We intend to do this by creating an attitude of excellence in leaders, having excellent facilities, high quality advertising and publications, and excellent ministries and gatherings.
- We intend to be a church that makes the biggest difference possible! We desire to make the biggest Kingdom impact that we possibly can through any means we can. We intend to accomplish this through a constant evangelistic intensity, investing heavily in the lives of people, expecting thousands of lives to be changed, developing large and expanding facilities that accommodate a growing crowd of new believers, being open to change, and being a church that thinks outside the walls of our facilities or borders of our community.
- We intend to be a church that thinks globally! We desire to make a Kingdom impact beyond our local setting. We intend to accomplish this by sending people into ministry outside of our community and country, sending generous financial support and other resources to individuals and organizations worldwide, hosting an annual missions conference, and by planting healthy churches around the world.
- We intend to be a church that worships whole-heartedly, authentically, and joyfully! We desire to see people regularly experience God's presence as they worship Him with their whole heart and life. We intend to accomplish this by having an excellent worship ministry, teaching worship as life stewardship and not just music, striving to have everyone sing sincerely in our worship services, providing many and various prayer and worship gatherings, having excellent technical ministries to facilitate the worship arts, and through regular and effective teaching on the topic.
- We intend to be a church that passionately reaches out to non-Christians! We desire to develop an individual and corporate passion for those who are far from God. We intend to constantly raise the level of evangelistic intensity among the participating members of our church through teaching, targeted training, regular outreach events, helping people use their spiritual gifts to reach out to others, and other intentional efforts and initiatives.
- We intend to be a church of inviting, authentic, and united community! We desire to develop a depth of relationships that uplifts, unites, and includes new people. We desire to truly love others and create a priority on people and relationships. We intend to accomplish this through an excellent community groups ministry, teams and committees that enjoy community, regular teaching on this value, and by hosting frequent social gatherings. We will reach beyond any racial, cultural, economic or social divisions that exist.
- We intend to be a church that is celebrative, joyful, positive, and optimistic! We desire to create an energetic, positive, and joyful atmosphere within our church and in the attitudes of people. We intend to accomplish this through providing a joyful gathering atmosphere, communion celebrations and other joyful reminders of God's grace, house parties for new Christians, regular upbeat worship and special music, planning for a better future, and intentionally placing joyful people in leadership positions.
- We intend to be a church that trains leaders and world changers! We desire to develop people who will positively influence and lead others. We will accomplish this through leadership training opportunities, taking staff and lay leaders to conferences, equipping leaders with training resources, helping people find and develop their Spiritual gifts, expecting high levels of leadership competence from church staff and boards, making leadership development a non-negotiable among church leaders, and developing a leadership culture. We will regularly motivate people to pursue a career in ministry and missions.
- We intend to be a church that experiences true life-change! We desire to see real transformation in the lives of people and for them to become a new creation in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We desire to see people of depth who are growing and taking a real life approach to spirituality. We will accomplish this through effective teaching, community groups, and our real-life approach to the Christian lifestyle.
- We intend to be a church that reaches out to the needy! We desire to follow Jesus example of ministering to the poor, underprivileged, and needy people. We will accomplish this through providing many opportunities for every person to get hands-on experience working with needy people in our community and the world. We will serve, comfort, give financially, provide support, encouragement, prayer, counsel, and care to those in need in our community and throughout the world.
- We intend to be a church of strong and healthy families! We desire to bring a strong emphasis on the God-ordained family life. We intend to accomplish this by regular marriage and family teaching, an annual family conference, marriage retreats and training, a ministry that targets families, and support for divorced or struggling marriages and family members. We will place a high priority on ministry to the family and young people.
- We intend to be a church of innovation and creativity! We desire to develop and implement our God-given creative potential throughout every area of our church. We intend to accomplish this through our attractive facilities and decorating, creative gatherings and ministries, use of the arts, "outside the box" thinking, innovative design and outreach productions, excellent graphic arts, and a variety of gathering styles, times, and locations, as well as ministries.
